Call for Student Volunteers

Student Volunteers (SVs) are an essential part of the ASSETS conference. Every year, SVs collaborate with the organizing team before and throughout the conference with a variety of tasks. Being a SV is also a great opportunity to be part of the conference (in-person or remotely), interact with the ASSETS community and meet other researchers and potential mentors!

Each student volunteer is expected to contribute up to 20 hours in tasks. The broad duties of SVs include:

Online volunteers:

  • Accessibility check of materials (i.e., paper PDFs)
  • Support online sessions (workshops and paper tracks)
  • Support the use of the conference communication tool

In-person volunteers:

  • Registration
  • In-person paper and workshop sessions
  • In-person tasks (e.g. support setup, coordination and navigation for events)

We are looking for online and in-person student volunteers. Selected students will receive a registration discount equivalent to the in-person or remote early student member fee, for in-person and remote SVs respectively.

How to Apply

Candidates must have student status in the current year to be eligible for the SV role. Students can apply through this registration form.

The application deadline is July 16th, 2026 (Anywhere on Earth).

Candidates will be selected from the application pool for the available spots based on their previous experience and skills. The selection process should take 2 weeks: candidates can expect to receive an e-mail notification of the results by July 30th. Please double check your e-mail address in the registration form.
